The Great Gatsby Week 4:

I understand how Gatsby may feel that he likes Daisy because this is his first time "falling in love" but the fact that he made up all of those lies shows that Daisy "fell in love" with the wrong person. I feel as this book died down near the end because Gatsby dies and all of a sudden Nick thinks that the cruelty in their hearts was there because they were from the west. I really do not see the theme to this book except that it is wrong to cheat on your lover and one must only have one spouse considering that is the reason why Gatsby died int he first place. Honestly, I am really disappointed in the ending and I think that the author should have made Gatsby died in a more dramatic and meaningful way. I really can't think of anything else to say but that I am really mad at how the author ended this book. I think they should just name it Gatsby because there was nothing great about him. Gatsby threw his riches away on stupid things and did not do anything to help those less fortunate then himself. I was also right about Jordan and Daisy and how they were no good for Gatsby and Nick considering that Gatsby died because he "loved" Daisy and Nick and Jordan eventually broke up and moved on with their lives. This was such a bad ending. Are you as unsatisfied as me Mahek because I really feel as if I was lead on into thinking that this book was going to be really great.
